Jingdezhen Porcelain - in Song Dynasty (3)

The aesthetics of Song Dynasty not only had a profound impact on Chinese aesthetics but also amazed the world. Back to that time, Song people were striving to find the inner reason and quality rather than focusing on the external decoration. Hence, a new aesthetics of minimalism came out to the world splendidly shown in many facets including porcelain. And it could be embodied in the discovery of Song porcelain excavated from Jingdezhen kilns. Speaking of it, Jingdezhen people had developed their own particular style of porcelain with a translucent-blue glaze in Northern Song Dynasty which made the town known by the world--producing making town. There was a significant improvement at the aspects of form, material, quality and technology in making porcelain.
